Special Schools make Bauchi State Proud: Wins HILWA National Annual Quiz Competition

Bauchi State has been announced winner of the Highly Influential Women Association (HILWA) Annual Quiz Competition held in Abuja recently.

Bilkisu Shehu, of Government Girls College Sakwa, and Khadija Hussaini, of Government Girls College Kafin Madaki, took the 1st and 2nd positions in the Inter-Local Government Competition, from where they qualified to represent the State at the National Inter-State Competition, where Bilkisu Shehu of GGC Sakwa took the National 1st position.

Similarly, Adamu Babangida, Abdulrahman Rufai and Al-Amin Mahmud from Jibril Aminu Model Secondary School, who represented Bauchi State in the Zonal Raw Materials Quiz Competion, organised by the National Raw Materials Research Institute, beat contestants from the 6 North Eastern States to emerge winner and representative of the North East Geopolitical Zone in the National Competition in Abuja, where they took the 3rd position in the county.

While presenting the participants to the state Governor, the Chairman, Bauchi State Special Schools Management Board, explained that Jibril Aminu Model Secondary School is the only Public School that participated in the Raw Materials National Annual Quiz Competition, and, by extension, the best Public Secondary School in Northern Nigeria.

The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Nuhu Gidado, heartily congratulated the participants and reiterated his administration's commitment towards revamping the hitherto decayed educational system it inherited.
